omg omg omg omg omg
i am sooooooooooooooooo not gonna believe this.
it took me a while to "get back to real life" though
okay peeps. let's get real shall we?
so this is what im talking about. please ignore the smugness in this post please.
well, i got the highest mark in English again for the last exam. I'm the best in class and in my batch too. because of my good achievement, my teacher gave me something as a token of appreciation for my hard work. well, that was what she told me. by the time i received the neatly wrapped square shaped box, the first thing i thought was, "ni mesti frame nih".
but whadya know, i was totally, completely, wrong. when i got back to my seat, Amirah told me, "MP3 MP3!" and i was like, what the hell is she talking about?? so i simply ignored her. and to my biggest surprise, what Amirah told me was true. she was right. i couldnt believe my eyes. it is an MP3. my teacher gave me an MP3. an MP3 of my own.
It seems like the whole world is mine. i couldnt describe my feelings. for the first time in my life, i feel like, i am appreciated. its not that i haven't received any gifts for my achievement. i just never felt this way. it's just different. and im not sure why. as far as i can remember, Kakwe and Kakak gave me a watch for getting 5A's in UPSR. there are still some other gifts but my brain isnt working well right now.
I remember when i asked Mama why i never get any gifts for getting the first place in class almost every exam when i was in primary school. And mama said, "paroklah gituhh. bankrap mama keno beli hadioh sokmo ko yah.." and i laughed when she said that. and i never ask her that question anymore. not that im greedy or materialistic or anything, i just want to feel appreciated but i dont want to be spoiled at the same time. the reason i asked her that question was because i was green with envy everytime my friends tell me that her father will buy her a new phone if she gets at least third place in exam. oh, i remember something else, my father once gave me a watch when i was eight. and i lost that watch. haha. serve me right i guess.
maybe some of you does not agree with what i just wrote. but hey, do i sound like i care? i write what i want and please mind your own business.
and that was what happened yesterday, 9th of September 2009.
today at school, i was showered my questions like,
"Betol ko awok buleh MP3?"
"Nadiah awok buleh hadioh gapo maghen?"
"Didie, maghi sayo lahh MP3 tuhh"
Madam Wan Rosnah binti Wan Abdullah, I love you.
Cheers,
Didie

it's probably because it came from a teacher; a person we expect to give us picture frames and blue pens, not mp3s ;)
